Volunteer Mental Health Providers
VTMHI is rapidly growing to serve more and more Virginians – and we need people like you to make it happen! For every volunteer who joins our team, we’re able to maximize our funding to serve more free clinics, pre-licensed mental health providers, and – most importantly – more Virginians in need of mental health supports. Opportunities include serving as a:
- Volunteer mental health provider (LCSW, LPC, LMFT): many patients are in need of clinicians who are fluent in their native language (Spanish being the most frequent request) and are seasoned in trauma-informed practices. Additional program needs include volunteers with daytime availability who can flex weekly appointment times to support patients with variable schedules.
- Volunteer clinical supervisor: help VTMHI serve more patients and pre-licensed mental health providers by giving your time as a volunteer clinical supervisor.
- Volunteer medical interpreter: a rapidly growing need for VTMHI! Help us more rapidly serve patients whose first language is not English by volunteering your time as a certified medical interpreter.
