Volunteer Mental Health Provider

VTMHI is looking for mental health providers to deliver vital services to patients referred by participating free and charitable clinics. Volunteers will be matched with a patient based on provider experience and needs of the patient. All mental health sessions are conducted virtually through a telehealth platform provided by VTMHI. The program is especially in need of:

  • multilingual providers to serve a waitlist of patients whose primary language is not English
  • experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
  • trauma-informed practice

Commitment: All volunteers are expected to provide a minimum of three (3) direct service hours per week for a minimum of six (6) months. Serving for at least one year is strongly preferred.

We Need Spanish-Speaking Volunteers

VTMHI is looking for volunteer counselors, therapists, and social workers to serve Spanish-speaking patients in communities across the state. There are opportunities for both individuals in the process of meeting their licensure requirements and licensed providers.
