Tom Bischof
Resident in Counseling
Pronouns: He/Him
Supervisor: Lakesha Roney, Ed.D. LPC
I served as a military officer and leader for 30 years. In this role, I focused on providing career counseling, promoting wellness, and assisting with life transitions, family advocacy, and crisis intervention.
I have a passion for helping others resolve difficult issues and restore hope, purpose, and normalcy in their lives. My emphasis is on building strong, trusting relationships with my patients to support a collaborative environment.
I primarily utilize Person-Centered, Solution-Focused, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy interventions to assist my patients in achieving their desired outcomes. I specialize in working with all adults to address a variety of mental health concerns, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship boundaries, substance abuse, and navigating life transitions.
Residents in Counseling support mental and emotional health by helping people develop strategies and solutions to life’s challenges – they have completed their education and practice under supervision until fully licensed.
