Staci Newsom
LPC-R
I am a Resident in counseling with years of experience working with children, teens, and their families. I have working in Residential Treatment with suicidal and self-harming teens and in Intensive In-Home Counseling with families at risk of being separated. I have experience working with borderline personality disorder, ADHD, depression, trauma and anxiety. I come from a military family (Army), and I am also a reunited adoptee. I work from a Solution-Focused point of view and have training in DBT, DBT, ABFT, CPT, EMDR, and crisis counseling. My experience covers people from all walks of life, cultures, and orientations. My favorite coping skills are baking cookies and art which I love using with my clients. I chose to become a mental health practitioner because of all that I have learned through my life experiences and wanting to be able to aid others in walking through theirs. It is a privilege to be able to develop a trusting working relationship with people to help them move closer to their ideal self.
