I am passionate about quality, compassionate, patient-centered care emphasizing cultural competency and underserved populations. When appropriate, I incorporate art into my therapeutic sessions and am committed to helping my clients cultivate a space for healing and growth. My methodology includes mindfulness and positive psychology along with cognitive behavioral therapy. A focus on a collaborative approach to helping empower my clients to set and reach their therapeutic goals.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health and Counseling from Liberty University, along with a Master’s in both Leadership Development & Healthcare Administration as well as a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Saint-Mary-of-the-Woods College. As a published artist I’m a graduate of the Institute of American Indian Arts & Lacoste School of the Arts.
I am originally from New Mexico but have lived in Northern Virginia for the past twenty-one years. When I’m not in sessions, studying, or in my art studio, I enjoy being out in nature, having adventures, spending time with friends and family along with my two dogs, playing the guitar, serving my community, and doing anything creative.
