Rachel Dougherty
Supervisee in Clinical Social Work
Pronouns: She/Her
Supervisor: Kristen Carty, LCSW, CAADC
I became a mental health professional because I’ve always been drawn to helping people navigate some of the most difficult moments in their lives. I truly believe that people have inner strengths and resilience within them, and I feel honored to walk alongside them as they reignite that spark.
My favorite part of being a therapist is seeing clients realize they are capable of making changes they didn’t think were possible. I also value building genuine therapeutic relationships where clients feel heard, supported, and safe enough to be themselves.
Supervisees in Social Work support mental and emotional health by helping people develop strategies and solutions to life’s challenges – they have completed their education and practice under supervision until fully licensed.
