Supervisee in Social Work

Pronouns: She/Her
Supervisor: Kristen Carty, LCSW, CAADC

I began my journey in the mental health field during my first year of service in the United States Navy. I was intrigued by the various methods others were using around me to cope with stress, anxiety, and feelings of depression. Nearly 25 years later, I am continuing to grow as a person, mother, mentor, and clinician.

My approach to client-centered therapy focuses on empowering others, uncovering motivation for change, exploring its pros and cons, and helping individuals build stronger, better versions of themselves. With experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I enjoy working with people to identify mental barriers that leave them feeling stuck or trapped in repetitive thought and behavior patterns. Walking alongside patients and assisting them as they build goals is my favorite part of working in mental health.
