Lakesha Roney, Ed.D, LPC
Clinical Supervisor
Dr. Roney is a long-time advocate for counselors in the Commonwealth. She has a rich experience in outpatient counseling services, consulting, trainings, and clinical supervision. As a Clinical Supervisor, she helps organizations with the growth of their clinical and program development and provides clinical supervision for residents in counseling and interns.
Dr. Roney serves as an Executive Board member of the Virginia Counselors Association (VCA) and is the current Treasurer and Co-Chair Racial Justice and Diversity Committee, working to promote the counseling profession by supporting, empowering, and advocating for the diverse needs of all counselors in Virginia. She is the owner of a Richmond-based private practice, Inner Self Counseling and Consultation LLC, and is an adjunct faculty member at George Mason University.
Dr. Roney holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Virginia State University, Master of Education in Counseling from Virginia State University, and a Doctor of Education Counseling Psychology Concentration in Education and Supervision from Argosy University.
