Dee Little
Supervisee in Clinical Social Work
Pronouns: She/Her
Supervisor: Kristen Carty, LCSW, CAADC
Becoming a mental health professional is the second chapter of my life after retiring from the military. I made this big career change, because going to therapy helped me when I struggled with loss, relationships, and work challenges. So, I hope to help others in a similar way that I received help, mostly through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Family Systems Therapy.
Working with my patients as a team is important to me, because they are the expert of their own lives and challenges. My goal is to help patients develop skills and coping strategies that they can continue to use long after our time in therapy ends.
Supervisees in Social Work support mental and emotional health by helping people develop strategies and solutions to life’s challenges – they have completed their education and practice under supervision until fully licensed.
