I became interested in telemental health in 2010 — the intent and hope has always been for telehealth modalities to improve access for under-resourced communities to health care, including mental health care. VTMHI is realizing this dream through a multilevel initiative – promoting access for both telemental health services for patients and high-quality supervision of residents promoting a well-trained and diverse workforce. For me, it is a dream to see telehealth services be used in such a strategic way to positively impact health equity.

I am passionate about providing high quality, effective supervision to counseling students and residents in order to promote effective mental health care practices and prevent provider burnout/increase retention.
