Angela-Marie Deane

Supervisee in Clinical Social Work

Pronouns: She/Her
Supervisor: Kristen Carty, LCSW, CAADC

I am passionate about providing a safe and supportive space where every patient feels truly heard, supported, and empowered to grow in their own unique self-journey. As a Filipina-American, I understand how cultural values and stigma can make it difficult to talk about mental health. That’s why I’m dedicated to creating a safe, affirming environment where my patients can show up fully. I center each session around the patient’s pace, voice, and goals.

My experience supporting children and families navigating trauma, instability, and systemic challenges has strengthened my commitment to providing compassionate, trauma-informed care to individuals of all ages. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing techniques.

Supervisees in Social Work support mental and emotional health by helping people develop strategies and solutions to life’s challenges – they have completed their education and practice under supervision until fully licensed.
